News on OSWGA Scholarship recipients…….

 

kelsey12014 RI Women’s State Amateur Champion & Medalist, Kelsey Hayward, a senior at Sacred Heart University,  will be playing in her last regular tournament at the Brown Bear Invitational at Metacomet on Sunday and Monday April 12/13.  16 Division one Teams will be competing at this event and as the Captain of the Sacred Heart University Women Golf Team, Kelsey will be playing in the #1 position!

All she will have left in her collegiate career will be the conference championship at LPGA in Daytona.  Kelsey will be going on to Law School in September…

angelicaAngelica Muscatelli, is a member of the Quinnipiac University Golf Team. The Bobcats recently took 3rd in the Seahawk Invitational in Pennsylvania. Angelica and the Bobcats will also be playing in the Brown Bear Invitational at Metacomet. Angelica and Kelsey are good friends and are the 2014 RI Women’s State Four-ball Champions!

ABOUT THE BROWN BEAR SPRING INVITATIONAL:
The 36-hole tournament begins with 18 holes on Sunday, April 12, with tee times starting at 10 am. Play will conclude with 18 holes and a 10am shotgun start on Monday, April 13, followed by an awards luncheon.

player_RoggeroAshley Roggero is a freshman at Methodist University.  The Methodist women’s golf team shot 325 in the final round of the Yellow Jacket Invitational hosted by Randolph-Macon and finished in third place. Ashley was the 2014 RI Women’s State Amateur 1st Division Champion.

AliAli Prazak joined The First Tee of Connecticut in August of 2014 as the Assistant Program Director. She graduated from Campbell University in North Carolina in 2014, where she received her degree in Sport Management. Ali played on the golf team at Campbell for four years. Ali is a native of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; however, she spent her summers in Rhode Island. During her time in Rhode Island she played junior golf tournaments and was a two time RI Women’s State Amateur Champion and four time Medalist. Golf has taken Ali many places around the world including offering her the chance to represent the Virgin Islands in competitions in China, Switzerland, and other Caribbean countries.
