OSWGA was founded in 1995 by Trudy Dufault & Nathalie Price. Currently, we serve over 250 members representing more than 40 clubs. Yearly, our schedule has an average of 25 tournaments held at some of the finest public and private golf venues in the area. A portion of the revenue from tournaments held at the private clubs goes directly into the Nathalie Price Memorial Scholarship Fund. Since its inception, the fund has helped in continuing the education of more than 80 young women golfers.
OSWGA strives to preserve the traditions of golf by: hosting rules clinics, providing handicap information and education and most importantly-including women of all golf abilities in its tournaments most notably the RI State Women’s Amateur Championship, of which we are the proud host.
Technology has changed many things in our universe but our mission remains the same-to promote friendly, competitive golf among women, regardless of handicap.
