website is up and running and very accurate. Sandra Harper has been working very hard to update all the sidebar items such as minutes, rules, agenda, schedule posts, handbook, photos etc. You can contact Sandra* with questions concerning the website.
PLEASE BE AWARE THAT YOU CAN REGISTER FOR ANY EVENT, VIEW RESULTS AND POY STANDINGS THROUGH OUR WEBSITE BY CLICKING ON THE PORTAL AND RESULTS BUTTON.
With that in mind, after the Ryder Cup Match at Montaup I will no longer be sending Opening Notices to your email for each event. The website will post the new tournament to open, at 6:00AM on opening day. You will be able to register through the new posting on the website or through Golf Genius.
When you view the Results Page, please disregard the points and purse sections. I am working to remove them since they are not accurate. For example, at Winnapaug, if you go to the Gross/Net Tournament results the purse and points are accurate but in the BB of twosome results page they are all off. The Player of the Year (POY) results page, however, is very accurate and calculated after every event. POY results will be slightly different from the Gross/Net results since we take into account any ties that resulted from play.
Be advised that a few tournament formats will be changing from what you see on your trifold schedule card. We hope to add some variety and excitement to our schedule with a few different and fun, new formats. The first change will be the Nassau at Laurel Lane. Everything is the same, except that it will be Match Play instead of Stroke Play. We will progress through the 2025 Directory in chronological order, indicating format changes in red. Please check 4 or 5 events into the future to find format changes.
WE ASK THAT EVERYONE TAKE THEIR TIME AND ACCURATELY SCORE THEIR CARDS. MAKE SURE THE CARD MATCHES GOLF GENIUS. EVERY CARD SHOULD HAVE A TOTAL GROSS AND TOTAL NET SCORE IN THE TOP RIGHT CORNER OF THE CARD BEFORE IT IS HANDED IN. (Failure to do this may result in a higher score for your team)
If you are registering for a 2-person tournament, just register the 2 players – do not try to register a foursome. You can request to be paired with other players if it is allowed in the tournament description. Requests must be sent to Luanne.** If you are registering a foursome, and you are not registering everyone at once, then you must contact Luanne** to let her know who is in your foursome.
If you are helping a new person register for OSWGA membership, PLEASE guide them through the process on their own phone or device not your phone or device. If you are paying for them, do not pay for them under your name, (you can use your card), but it must be under their name and profile in Golf Genius. Also, they/you must register the new member into one of the membership plans (Individual, Board Member, or Junior) to complete the process before paying.
Final note – Once the tee assignments are posted in the portal, no unnecessary changes will be granted.
